A federated network's central claim is that no single server matters much. Measured against monthly actives and against hosting, that claim does not survive contact with the data.

What runs it, and how old is it

Server counts and activity rank the software completely differently. And version currency — which nobody publishes for this network — is a security posture measure hiding in plain sight.

Does a country's domain stay home?

The founding question of this project, asked of every country at once. German domains stay in Germany four times out of five. British ones do not.
